This Privacy Notice explains how Get Roofers Ireland ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and shares your personal data when you use our website at getroofers.ie. We are committed to protecting your privacy in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Get Roofers Ireland is a roofing quote matching service. We connect Irish homeowners with vetted local roofing specialists.

2. What data we collect

When you submit our quote request form, we collect:

• Your name
• Mobile phone number
• Email address (optional)
• County / town and Eircode (Eircode optional)
• Details of the roofing issue or project you've described
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring website, pages viewed (collected via Google Analytics and standard server logs)

3. Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We process your data on the following lawful bases:

• Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): To match you with a roofing specialist who can quote on your job — which is the service you've requested.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): To analyse aggregate site usage to improve our service, and to keep records for legal and accounting purposes.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For marketing communications (where applicable) and non-essential cookies.

4. Who we share it with

To deliver the service you've requested, we share your contact details and job description with one matched roofing specialist from our network. We do not sell your data, do not pass it to multiple roofers, and do not share it with marketing companies.

We also use the following processors who may have access to limited data:

• Our hosting provider (for serving the website)
• Google Analytics 4 (for aggregate site analytics; configured with IP anonymisation)
• Google Ads (for conversion tracking)
• Our email/notification provider (for sending you confirmation of your submission)

5. How long we keep it

We retain your enquiry data for [RETENTION PERIOD — e.g. 24 months] from the date of your submission, after which it is permanently deleted. Aggregate analytics data is retained for up to 26 months in Google Analytics 4.

6. Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
• Withdraw consent (where consent is the lawful basis)

7. Cookies

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and limiting data sharing to the single matched specialist.
